Free Narcotic Canine with purchase of handler school
Canine Academy Training Center has canines available for
the cost of a handler school ($1000). These canines are guaranteed for their
work performance for 2 years provided the handler maintains required training.
These canines are available at this cost due to some extenuating circumstances
that have no effect on their work performance. This is the ideal way for a
department that is lacking funds to purchase a working canine. Please call

Note: If you are a private company in Texas you must have a DPS class C license and a DEA license to purchase a narcotic canine.
We background check all individuals who come to our courses.
Available canines for this program
Bob: Bob is about a 2 1/2 year old heeler
mix. He is an aggressive alert canine and is great at finding narcotics.
Bob does not have any issues, but he has been here a while and needs to get out
on the streets as a working canine. Bob has quite the "jokster" personality so he
will need a handler that is up to his fun personality. His medical
background is clear and all joints have been X-rayed. Cost is $1000.
Bones: Bones is about a 3 year old
Labrador retriever mix. She is great at finding narcotics. Bones does not
have any issues, but she has been here a while and needs to get out on the
streets as a working canine. Her medical background is clear and all joints have
been X-rayed. Cost is $1000.
Maggie: Maggie is a 2 year old Labrador retriever
mix. She is an aggressive alert
canine and is great at finding narcotics. Maggie does not have any issues, but
she has been here a while and needs to get out on the streets as a working
canine. Her medical background is clear and all joints have been X-rayed. Cost is $1000.
Nike: Nike is a 3 1/2 year old purebred AKC golden retriever. He is an aggressive alert
canine and is great at finding narcotics. Nike has slight flattening of
the ball joint in
one hip and that has placed him on our discounted list. It is not severe and it
is only in one hip, all his other joints are in great condition. It should not
have any impact on his working career and our veterinarian has cleared him to be
a working canine. Cost is $1000.
Dodger: Dodger is a 2 year old yellow lab. He
is an aggressive alert canine and is great at finding narcotics. Dodger has
excellent hips and elbows. Dodger has one issue that places him on our
discounted list. Dodger has had seizures in the past. Dodger is currently on
Phenobarbital which has prevented any further seizures from happening. He needs
to take his pills twice a day. The cost of the pills is less than $10/month.
Other than that he is in fine health. Cost is $1000.
Buddy: Buddy is a 2 year old yellow lab. He
is a passive alert accelerant detection canine. Buddy has excellent hips and elbows.
Buddy has one issue that places him on our discounted list. Buddy has had
seizures in the past. Buddy is currently on Phenobarbital which has prevented
any further seizures from happening. He needs to take his pills twice a day. The
cost of the pills is less than $10/month. Other than that he is in fine health.
